Conceptual Design Study
Depending upon the scope of the project, the cost of a conceptual design study will usually range from $500 to $2,500. Essex has chosen to use this step for several reasons. There is a relatively small financial commitment from the owners. This retainer allows us to measure and inspect the property, discuss the owners' wishes and their feasibility, and finally, develop a concept and prepare a cursory budget. During this stage, which can take several meetings, both the client and Essex determine whether to move on to the next step which is to develop a full set of plans and specifications. |
