Essex's development
Over the past twenty years, Essex has chosen to carve a niche that concentrates on major renovations and additions. It is fairly easy to build from scratch on an open lot… Conceptualizing a successful and seamless design out of an existing structured site requires a more sophisticated skill set. Over the years, we have worked on dozens of different projects. Each project has been unique and all have differed in age, architectural style, and complexity. We truly believe this specialized experience allows us to be confident even under the most challenging of circumstances and expectations.
Personnel
One defining decision made early
on was to limit the size of the company. By limiting our
size, Essex can truly control all aspects of the design
build process. Essex is only involved with a few projects
at any one time. Paul McGrath, the principal of the company,
is the primary contact throughout the project. Clients
are not turned over to a series of managers…
The initial concept is developed by Paul McGrath
with the help of Laura Winn, an architectural designer.
